Re-opening on March 15, 2008. Our hotel will be closed between Jan 6, 2008 and March 14, 2008 in order to renovate all our rooms, bathrooms and floors.

There are several reasons why the word charming is used as an apt description of the DES BALANCES. Chief among them is the hotel's picturesque location on the River Reuss in the heart of Old Lucerne. The hotel's 12th century veneer is framed by iron fronted balconies that wind down to a riverside cafe. Inside, the decorative interior includes the Gourmet Restaurant La Vague, casual Bistro, Piano Bar and an array of intimate meeting rooms ideal for seminars. The 60 guest rooms are attractively furnished.

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged CHF 70.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
CHF 3.05 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included.

Internet: Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in the entire hotel and costs CHF 10.00 per hour.

Meal Plan: Continental breakfast is not included and costs CHF 17.00 per person.
Buffet breakfast is not included and costs CHF 27.00 per person.

Parking: Private parking is possible on streets nearby and costs CHF 27.00 per day.

Pets: Pets are allowed. Charges may be applicable.
