Jailhotel Löwengraben

Built in 1862, Switzerland's first jail hotel was used as Lucerne's central prison until autumn 1998. Today you can enjoy the unique atmosphere of the Jailhotel Löwengraben and the Alcatraz Bar. The hotel is located right in the heart of the historical old town of Lucerne, only 5 to 10 minutes' walk from the railway station and the top tourist attractions. Dance the night away in the music club on site, open from Thursday to Saturday, from 22:00 to 04:00.
